The white shirt is a staple piece in everyone’s wardrobe. It’s something you can dress up or down, something you can wear with absolutely anything and something you can where everywhere you go without ever looking over or underdressed. There’s so many styles to pick from, from the classic, smart and tailored shirt fit for formal occasions to the casual chambray shirt fit for everyday wear to achieve that model off duty look.
The latter is what I’ve gone for here, I’ve mentioned my love of the ‘model off duty’ look before (and how I wanted that to be the name of my blog but girl ain’t a model) and I feel like this outfit has exactly those vibes. It’s effortless but stylish, it’s one of those ‘oh this? I just threw this on’ outfits, and I genuinely did just throw it on one day recently, fall in love with it, and proceed to wear it multiple times after.
The lingerie-as-everyday-wear look is big right now too, with slip dresses and lace camisoles everywhere right now, so the eyelash lace trim shorts and pretty, detailed red bra let you work the lingerie trend in an easy to wear way.
The white shirt will never go out of style so this is a look you can keep coming back to all the time, no matter what. And I’m a firm believer in not dressing according to trends, if there’s something I like, I’ll wear it and if that just so happens to be a current trend, so be it. Even though the lingerie look will be over eventually it’s something I’m so into and I’ll still be reaching for pretty bralets and these lacy shorts all the time – weather permitting of course. Plus, if choosing comfort over style is your thing, you won’t need to compromise with this outfit.
